Job summary

Salve.Lab is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant to join its Finance Transformation team. You will support, implement and improve SAP Finance solutions across General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Tax, Cost Accounting, Consolidation and Treasury within a complex international environment.

You will work with Finance, IT and cross‑functional teams on SAP S/4HANA Finance deployments and centralised finance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, deployment and ongoing maintenance of SAP Finance solutions across an international organisation.
• Contribute to SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation projects, including centralised Finance solutions rollout to subsidiaries.
• Provide functional support across GL, Asset Accounting, Tax, Cost Accounting, Consolidation and Treasury.
• Analyse existing Finance processes and identify opportunities for standardisation, automation and improvement.
• Gather business requirements and translate into SAP functional specifications.
• Conduct fit-gap analyses and configure SAP Finance solutions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant to join the Finance Transformation team of a leading international organisation in the aerospace and technology sector. This position focuses on supporting, implementing and continuously improving SAP Finance solutions within a complex international business environment. You will play an important role in the deployment and evolution of SAP S/4HANA Finance, supporting financial processes across General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Tax, Cost Accounting, Consolidation and Treasury. Working closely with Finance, IT and cross-functional business teams, you will contribute to international transformation projects, including the extension of centralised SAP Finance solutions across multiple subsidiaries and legal entities. The role combines functional SAP expertise, financial process knowledge, system implementation and project coordination, with a strong focus on operational reliability, process harmonisation and continuous improvement. You will support an international Finance community spanning more than 80 legal entities, contributing to the modernisation and efficiency of financial systems and processes.

• Gather and document business requirements from Finance stakeholders and translate them into SAP functional specifications.
• Conduct fit-gap analyses to identify differences between local business requirements and the organisation's standard SAP Finance model.
• Configure and customise SAP Finance solutions to meet business and regulatory requirements.
• Manage system maintenance activities and change requests to ensure stable and reliable operations.
• Investigate SAP Finance incidents, identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
• Design, implement, test and deliver system enhancements within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Coordinate unit testing, integration testing and business validation activities.
• Support data migration planning, execution and validation during SAP deployment projects.
• Maintain accurate functional documentation, system specifications and process records.
• Coordinate SAP implementation projects, including scope, planning, budget, risk management and progress reporting.
• Support the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements definition through to deployment and operational handover.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Sales, Logistics and other business functions to ensure effective system integration.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between international stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support change management activities, user adoption and training within the Finance community.
• Ensure Finance systems remain aligned with accounting standards, tax requirements and applicable regulations.
• Monitor the stability, reliability, quality and performance of SAP Finance applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, business processes and system efficiency through digital solutions and automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Finance, IT or SAP Finance consulting.
• Strong background in Financial Accounting and Management Accounting principles and standards.
• Proven experience across the SAP implementation and support lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system configuration, testing, documentation and end-user training.
• Strong understanding of SAP Finance functionality, particularly SAP FI/CO.
• Good knowledge of core Finance business processes, including Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C).
• Experience supporting Finance systems, managing functional incidents and implementing system improvements.
• Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into practical SAP configurations and solutions.
• Experience conducting functional testing, integration testing and supporting system deployments.
• Understanding of financial reporting, accounting processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex system and process issues.
• Experience collaborating with Finance stakeholders, IT teams and cross-functional business departments.
• Strong project coordination, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute to multiple implementation or improvement initiatives.
