xelerate.tech, partnering with Witzenmann to build a new Tech Hub in Porto, seeks a SAP Data & Analytics Engineer. You will define and implement the data strategy to move from legacy SAP BW to a cloud-integrated data ecosystem powered by SAP BDC, enabling data-driven decisions across functions.

You will design data products, manage data flows between SAP BDC, Datasphere, and cloud platforms, and build dashboards with SAC while ensuring governance and security across the organization.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science or a comparable qualification.
• Extensive experience in SAP data architecture, reporting, and analytics.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and modern SAP data extraction methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SAP BDC ecosystem, including SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.

xelerate.tech is partnering with Witzenmann, a global leader and the world’s largest manufacturer of metal hoses, expansion joints, metal bellows, and pipe supports, to build a new Tech Hub in Porto. You have the opportunity to join our team and tackle business challenges in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment characterized by close collaboration with business stakeholders.

As a SAP Data & Analytics Engineer, you are responsible for defining and implementing the data strategy to transition from legacy SAP BW structures to a modern, cloud-integrated data ecosystem powered by SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC). You enable data-driven decision-making across sales, operations, and finance teams by designing consistent, high-performance data models and curated data products.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the data strategy leveraging the SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) platform to unify and govern data across the Witzenmann ecosystem.
• Design, develop, and maintain consistent “Data Products” (semantically enriched, reusable datasets) within the BDC Business Data Fabric.
• Manage the integration and data flow between SAP BDC, SAP Datasphere, and other cloud platforms to ensure a single, reliable source of truth.
• Facilitate data-driven decision-making by creating intuitive dashboards and analytical reports using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Oversee ETL processes and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and governance of data throughout its lifecycle.
• Translate complex reporting and AI requirements into high-performance technical solutions that power both business users and AI agents (e.g., Joule).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data transparency, security, and accessibility throughout the organization.

Your Skills and Experiences:

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, or a comparable qualification.
• Extensive experience in SAP data architecture, reporting, and analytics.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and modern SAP data extraction methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with the SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) ecosystem, including SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Ability to bridge the gap between complex technical data structures and business reporting needs.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; understanding of data fabric architectures.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); German language skills are a plus.
