EnBW IT-Solutions in Lisbon is looking for an experienced SAP Backend Software Engineer. You will design, develop, and maintain robust backend solutions within the SAP technology stack while collaborating with agile teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in SAP projects, knowledge of modern architecture, and is fluent in English. This position offers a hybrid work model, private health insurance, and meal allowances.

Your tasks

• In close collaboration with the business department, you define and refine requirements and document them in the underlying ticketing system (Azure DevOps).
• A customer-oriented mindset guides your work, ensuring that every solution you design and implement delivers clear added value to the project.
• The design and development of complex applications within distributed IT architectures fall within your responsibility, always with a strong focus on quality and stability.
• As an active participant in relevant project meetings, you confidently represent the interests of your own area.
• To ensure software functionality, you create suitable unit tests and contribute to high code quality.
• Handling pull requests, reviewing colleagues’ code, and conducting thorough code reviews are part of your daily work.
• Your tasks are rounded off by maintaining and updating your own tickets on the project boards.

Your profile

• You bring at least 5 years of experience in designing and developing SAP applications within complex IT projects.
• You are well-versed in applying modern architectural principles.
• Hands‑on experience with developing offline-capable applications, for example based on Atlassian Realm or MongoDB, distinguishes you.
• Solid knowledge in test development and test automation complements your profile.
• Working with Azure DevOps and GitHub is familiar territory for you.
• Experience in agile DevOps teams as well as in remote working environments enables you to collaborate effectively.
• A positive attitude, strong team spirit, and a hands‑on, can‑do mindset define the way you work.
• You communicate fluently in English (C1); knowledge of Portuguese and/or German is a plus.
