S/4HANA Data Expert – Planning (OMP)

Location: Lisbon, PO (Hybrid)

Are you an expert in S/4HANA and data governance, ready to play a key role in shaping the future of enterprise data? We’re looking for an S/4HANA Data Expert – Planning (OMP) to help define and implement business data standards within a major S/4HANA transformation programme.

About the Role

As an S/4HANA Data Expert, you will be instrumental in ensuring data integrity, governance, and migration success for Planning (NS&SCP – Network Strategy & Supply Chain Planning). You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders, including data offices and governance forums, to ensure that the S/4HANA and OMP data design meets business needs and aligns with SAP standards. This is a pivotal opportunity to influence a large-scale digital transformation and contribute to high-quality enterprise data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Define, document, and implement S/4HANA Enterprise Data Standards for Planning, covering master data, reference data, and metadata.
2. Lead and support S/4HANA and OMP integration activities within the programme.
3. Ensure data readiness and integrity at the point of migration from ECC to S/4HANA.
4. Work with business data teams to align S/4HANA data design with enterprise-wide standards.
5. Influence and prioritise data-related deliverables and reporting for key stakeholders.
6. Support the transition from current to future state data models, assessing change impacts and key use cases.
7. Ensure non-SAP system requirements are considered in data design.
8. Contribute to the development of the S/4HANA Data Governance Strategy, Data Quality Strategy, and Migration Framework.
9. Oversee data migration processes, ensuring business sign-off pre and post-load.
10. Ensure compliance with the S/4HANA Data Governance Framework and Global Data Standards.
11. Expertise in Planning (NS&SCP) with significant hands-on experience.
12. Strong understanding of how business data supports process execution and analytics.
13. Experience in defining and implementing Data Standards in a global enterprise.
14. SAP and OMP working knowledge.
15. Business/IT partnering experience for Data Governance solutions.
16. Ability to navigate global and cross-cultural environments.
17. Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills in complex environments.
18. A track record of delivery and effective prioritisation.
19. Experience in S/4HANA implementation programmes.
20. Background in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, or manufacturing.
21. Expertise in Data Governance and Data Quality improvement.
