Job summary

MOV.AI, a fast-growing robotics software company, is seeking a Robotics QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of its autonomous robotics platform. This hands-on role focuses on testing, simulations, and automation, not traditional web testing.

You will collaborate with Robotics, Backend, Frontend and DevOps teams and work in a Hybrid Portugal setting, contributing to maintenance of test plans and ensuring smooth software releases in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in robotics software testing or QA engineering.
• Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System) and Gazebo simulation tools.
• Experience with Python for test automation.
• Familiarity with Jira and structured test management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Passion for robotics, automation, and delivering reliable software in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Validate robotics software through comprehensive testing and QA processes.
• Perform simulation-based testing using Gazebo and robotics environments.
• Develop and maintain ROS-based automated test solutions.
• Manage test plans, traceability, and quality documentation using Jira.
• Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with Robotics, Backend, Frontend, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Support structured release validation and quality processes throughout the development lifecycle.
