Job summary

Universidade de Aveiro invites applications for a research grant within the Sensimarine project in the Department of Physics. The work involves developing printed electrodes for cortisol sensing in aquaculture and evaluating the electrical and electrochemical properties of the produced sensors.

Candidates must be enrolled in a Master program with knowledge in electrical characterization of devices or sensors; R&D experience in the field is valued.

Qualifications

• Master's student in Physical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials or related fields.
• Knowledge and/or experience in electrical characterization of devices or sensors.
• R&D experience in relevant scientific area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare printed electrodes for sensors using screen-printing and photolithography for cortisol detection in aquaculture.
• Conduct electrical and electrochemical analyses (resistivity, capacitance, electrochemistry) of sensors.
• Assess sensor performance, response characteristics and lifetime under different degradation states.
