Hexa Consulting in Lisbon is seeking a mid-level SQL Server Database Administrator to support complex database platforms in the telecommunications sector. The role focuses on reliable operations, performance tuning, monitoring and continuous improvement of critical environments, with a mostly remote work arrangement based in Lisbon.

You will manage SQL Server databases across environments, analyze performance, support backup and recovery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Mid-level professional experience in SQL Server database administration.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in complex production environments.
• Strong analytical approach to performance, troubleshooting and operational monitoring.
• Professional working proficiency in Portuguese.
• Availability to start within a maximum notice period of 30 days.
• Responsible, collaborative and adaptable approach to delivery and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server databases across system and application environments with high operational complexity.
• Analyze database performance and implement tuning activities across infrastructure and application layers.
• Diagnose, analyze and monitor operational issues affecting database availability, stability and performance.
• Support backup and recovery processes using established enterprise tooling.
• Work with service management platforms to follow incidents, requests and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with technical teams with transparency, ownership and a solution-oriented mindset.
