LUZA Group in Lisbon is seeking a SQL Server focused data engineer to develop and maintain SQL Server databases, write advanced queries, and create stored procedures and functions. You will analyze performance bottlenecks and tune queries, collaborating with IT and development teams to keep applications fast and reliable.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Management Informatics, or a similar area.
• At least 3 years of SQL Server experience.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience creating stored procedures and functions.
• Ability to write advanced/complex queries and tune performance.
• English and Portuguese proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain SQL Server databases.
• Write complex SQL queries for retrieving and processing data.
• Create and maintain Stored Procedures (SPs) and SQL Functions.
• Perform database/query tuning to speed up slow queries.
• Analyze existing SQL code and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Help optimize Stored Procedures and queries used by applications.
• Work with development/IT teams when database issues affect applications.
• Potentially participate in DevOps processes (deployments, CI/CD, version control, automated releases).
• Work in a hybrid model, being in the Lisbon office 2 days per week.
