Cloudlinux is seeking a hands-on Staff Engineer to join KernelCare, building reliable pipelines and automation in security. The role is ~70% hands-on software engineering and ~30% technical product ownership, focusing on major components and workstreams from discovery to production.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, sales, and other stakeholders, shaping technical plans and milestones. Remote work is supported globally.

Qualificações

• Strong backend engineering experience in Python.
• Comfortable reading and reviewing C language code.
• Strong hands-on Linux background.
• Strong system design and architectural thinking, with hands-on implementation.
• Experience gathering requirements and turning unclear needs into plans and milestones.
• Strong technical product ownership and understanding of how engineering decisions support business goals.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Strong communication skills with engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools as part of the workflow.

Responsabilidades

• Own major product components and workstreams from discovery to production release and ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, and other stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
• Translate broad product goals into technical plans, milestones, and tasks.
• Design scalable system architecture and make high-impact technical decisions.
• Build, review, and maintain production-grade components end-to-end with reliability and security.
• Take responsibility for delivered components in production and their evolution.
• Independently track progress and communicate results, blockers, risks, dependencies.
• Research technologies, tools, market approaches, and competitors when needed.
• Contribute to engineering quality through design reviews, guidance, and best practices.
