Meld is seeking a product-minded Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our remote-first team, building scalable services and APIs that power AI and blockchain workloads on AWS.

You will own feature development from design to production, design high-performance APIs, and mentor engineers while improving architecture and observability.

This role supports CET overlap, is fully remote, and requires 8+ years of Java experience with distributed systems.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and testing Java code.
• Extensive hands-on experience scaling distributed SOA systems.
• Experience designing highly available and observable distributed services.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior Software Engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain distributed backend services using Java and SpringBoot.
• Own feature development from design to deployment, including architecture, implementation, and production readiness.
• Design high-performance APIs and services for real-time and data-intensive workloads.
• Proactively improve architecture, frameworks, tooling, code standards, automation, and engineering processes.
• Collaborate closely with product management, DevOps, and engineering peers to bring features to life.
• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and observability across the backend stack.
• Use AI as a core accelerant to development velocity and quality.
• Mentor team members and help shape the future of the engineering organization, with a clear path toward a management role.
