InvestEngine, a London-based fintech, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Backoffice team and strengthen the technical foundation as we scale. This role focuses on architecture, system stability, and scaling internal platforms powering critical operations.

You will design and build backend services in Python 3.11 (Django/DRF), work with MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis for caching, and develop RESTful APIs.

Qualificações

• 4+ years backend development experience in Python.
• Solid experience with Django (or equivalent Python frameworks).
• Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools (TeamCity, GitHub Actions).
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements.
• English (B2 level or higher) and Russian as native.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build backend services in Python 3.11 using Django and DRF.
• Work with MySQL/PostgreSQL and Redis for caching and performance.
• Develop and evolve RESTful APIs for client-facing features and internal tools.
• Own features end-to-end from design to release, monitoring and improvement.
• Improve system scalability, performance, and reliability as we scale.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Compliance to deliver compliant features.
• Debug production issues and drive architectural improvements.
• Follow Git, CI/CD (TeamCity, GitHub Actions) and code quality best practices.
