Job summary

Epam Systems, Inc. is seeking a SAP Manager in Portugal to lead and unify the SAP practice across functional and technical teams.

The role is senior leadership with responsibility for location strategy, growth, governance and delivery quality, including S/4HANA implementations and ECC modernization. You will build and mentor a local team of SAP professionals, drive strategic direction, and influence client outcomes in a dynamic technology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 10+ years of SAP experience spanning functional (Logistics/SCM, FICO) and technical areas (ABAP, ABAP Cloud, S/4 HANA).
• Proven experience as SAP Practice Head, COE Leader or equivalent leadership role.
• In-depth understanding of SAP stack: S/4 HANA, ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, OData, SAP BTP and clean core.
• Experience with ATC checks, CI/CD and Dev Ops governance.
• Fluent in English (B2+); Portuguese desirable.
• SAP certifications in relevant domains are a plus.

• Lead and unify the SAP practice, providing consistent direction across teams.
• Build and develop high-performing teams of leads, architects, consultants and engineers.
• Manage hiring, utilization, performance, and compensation within SAP.
• Foster mentoring, knowledge sharing and global delivery collaboration.
• Define and execute SAP strategy to drive growth and market leadership.
• Establish SAP architecture standards and delivery frameworks.
• Promote AI-assisted development and modern DevOps practices.
• Provide hands-on enterprise and solution architecture leadership.
• Oversee SAP transformation projects including S/4HANA implementations.
• Ensure delivery quality via architecture reviews and ATC checks.
