Job summary

CNTXT AI is seeking a senior-level European Portuguese localization contractor to support AI data and language projects on a flexible, hourly basis. You will perform localization QA, translation judgments, and content checks across prompts, datasets, and outputs, ensuring accuracy and cultural nuance.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field, be native or near-native European Portuguese, and have strong English (C1).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in translation, linguistics, localization, or related field.
• Native or near-native European Portuguese with strong writing and editing skills.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency (reading/writing).
• Excellent editorial judgment on tone, punctuation, and cultural nuance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to explain corrections clearly.
• Ability to fact-check localized content across sources.

Responsibilities

• Perform senior-level European Portuguese localization and translation quality judgments.
• Review prompts and outputs for accuracy, tone, and cultural appropriateness.
• Fact-check localized content for units, references, and dates across outputs.
• Identify meaning drift and locale inconsistencies; document corrections clearly.
• Collaborate across time zones and deliver consistent quality.
