ITDS is seeking a Mid-Level AI Engineer to join our client in Porto for cutting-edge AI features and conversational systems. The role emphasizes building AI-powered tools and scalable cloud-based services while working in a remote-friendly setup.

You will engage in prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and vector databases, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust AI integrations and high‑quality code.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience with language model APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector).
• Familiarity with agent frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI.
• Proficiency in REST/GraphQL API design and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Basic understanding of ML fundamentals such as embeddings, model evaluation, and failure modes.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with product and design teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered features including AI raters and conversational modules.
• Optimize prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and work with vector databases and storage systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement API and microservice architectures on cloud platforms.
• Write clean, tested, and efficient code ensuring high quality deliverables.
• Utilize AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development workflows.
• Engage in continuous learning of ML fundamentals and model evaluation to improve performance.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and stakeholders.
