iGamingRecruitment.io is helping a Lisbon-based tech client hire a Back-End Engineer - Trading Systems to own the market making engine across exchanges. The role is hybrid, three days per week in the Lisbon office, with a full-time, permanent contract.

You will design, build, and scale real-time backend systems using Python, SQL, Node.js, and TypeScript, focusing on latency, throughput, and reliability in a trading environment. A collaborative, ownership-driven approach is essential.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong Python skills.
• Solid experience with SQL, Node.js and TypeScript.
• Demonstrable experience with real-time, streaming, WebSockets, or high-throughput systems.
• Experience with Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Self-directed, ownership-focused approach and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and evolve backend systems for the market making engine across multiple exchanges.
• Work on high-performance systems processing high-frequency data and live order flow.
• Collaborate with odds feed API and API betting teams to ensure end-to-end pricing and execution consistency.
• Participate in code review, testing, deployment, and maintain high engineering standards.
• Take initiative on improvements and own parts of the trading systems.
