Pessoas e Sistemas in Portugal is seeking a hands-on process engineer to lead a technical role in bringing an innovative technology from pilot scale to industrial production.

You will optimize processes, define product specs, and coordinate ISO certifications while collaborating with internal teams and external labs. Fluent English and strong analytical skills are essential to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.

Qualificações

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5–8 years of industrial experience in process engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience in process optimization and quality management systems.
• Experience in pyrolysis, recycling, refining, petrochemicals, or carbon materials desirable.
• Fluent English is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on and pragmatic approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear and actionable recommendations.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor, analyse, and optimize pilot plant performance.
• Develop and validate mass and energy balances (MEB) and process data for commercial scale-up.
• Define product specifications, quality control plans, and sampling procedures.
• Coordinate analytical testing with internal and external laboratories.
• Establish and continuously improve the company’s integrated Quality Management System.
• Prepare and support certification according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISCC EU, REACH, and related standards.
• Support engineering, HAZOP, FMEA, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and start-up of the first commercial plant.
• Develop engineering standards, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
