agap2 indústria is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join our team in the Ovar area. The role focuses on industrialization, process trials, and production implementation for adhesive bonding in a manufacturing environment.

You will develop and standardize processes, collaborating with Production, Quality, R&D, Maintenance, and suppliers to resolve challenges and improve performance. A Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering / Management or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a related role in manufacturing.
• Experience with joining processes (adhesive bonding) for plastics, metals, glass or composites.
• Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, Lean/Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality management systems (ISO, GMP, FMEA).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Profile description:

We are looking for a motivated Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering / Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment;
• Experience with joining processes, more specifically with plastic, metals, glass or composites;
• Strong understanding of process optimization techniques, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies;
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality management systems (ISO, GMP, FMEA, etc.);
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions;
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The main responsibilities are:

• Support the industrialization, from process trials and validation through to production implementation;
• Develop, optimize, and standardize processes about adhesive bonding to ensure stable, efficient, and repeatable production;
• Work closely with Production, Quality, R&D, Maintenance, and suppliers to resolve technical challenges and improve process performance;
• Optimize bonding processes across different substrates, including PC, PC-ABS, ABS, metals, glass, and composite materials;
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process reliability, productivity, quality, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
