Job summary

Match Profiler, an Information Systems consultancy, seeks a Quality Engineer (m/f) to join a hybrid team in Lisbon. You will design, implement and maintain automated QA tests and contribute to the defect lifecycle in a fast-moving environment.

You will create test scripts in Java/SQL or Gherkin, mentor colleagues, and work within Agile Scrum practices, using Jira or ADO, GitLab, and CI/CD tools to deliver robust software.

Qualifications

• Performing moderately complex work in research, design, development, and execution of automated Quality Assurance Tests.
• Creation and execution of test scripts in languages such as Java, SQL, or Gherkin.
• Applied knowledge in creating, updating, and resolving defects within a defect workflow.
• Modifies existing automation scripts to meet unique company needs and configurations.
• Mentoring and Coaching Team-members.
• Prior work in Agile Scrum paradigm.
• Repository practice (i.e. Git, GitLab or Bitbucket)
• Quality Management tools (Jira, ADO, etc..)
• Cucumber
• Gherkin
• Manual tests
• Creation and maintenance of test cases and test plans for management tool (Jira, ADO, etc..)
• User Acceptance Testing knowledge
• Cypress

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines with tools such Jenkins, ADO, or GitHub Actions
• Knowledge in QA best practices and standards

• Minimum of +4 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and run automated QA tests across platforms.
• Create, maintain and execute test scripts using Java, SQL or Gherkin.
• Manage defects and drive resolution within defect workflows.
• Mentor and coach teammates in QA practices and tools.
• Collaborate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and CI/CD pipelines.
