JAC Products (Portugal) is seeking a Quality & Environment Manager to oversee all quality activities at the manufacturing facility and to lead the Quality and Environmental staff. You will develop and maintain QA and environmental programs compliant with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 while coordinating audits with customers and suppliers.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic problem solving and a proven track record in manufacturing quality systems within an automotive context.

Qualificações

• Five to seven years’ experience in quality, manufacturing and industrial engineering.
• Three years in a Management role.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all quality activities at the Manufacturing facility.
• Lead selection, training development and supervision of the Quality and Environmental staff; share responsibility with BUL’s for Quality Engineers.
• Develop and maintain a quality assurance program to ensure conformity with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 and for purchased materials.
• Develop and maintain an environmental assurance program to ensure conformity with ISO 14001.
• Coordinate and report plant metrics for Quality and Environment, including audits and supplier performance.
• Represent the Company during internal and external audits and drive corrective actions.

Responsible for developing and maintaining a Quality and Environment system that assures all products and processes meet and exceed customer specifications.Achieve superior quality and reliability levels.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

. Assumes the primary role overseeing all quality activities at the Manufacturing facility.

. Assumes the primary role in selection, training development and supervision of the Quality and Environmental staff.Shares responsibility with the BUL’s for Quality Engineers.

. Develops and maintains a quality assurance program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final manufactured products according to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standard.

. Develops and maintains an environmental assurance program to ensure conformity with the customer and legal requirements according to ISO 14001 standard.

. Meets with vendors, customers, representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality or environmental problems and to ensure corrective action is taken.

. Prepares for and represents the Company during all related audits.

1. Internal Audits

i.ISO 9001 / IATF 16949

iii.Gate audits (developing programs)

b. External ISO 9001 / IATF and ISO 14001

c. Customer visits and audits

. Support internal improvement and problem-solving teams, where applicable.

. Acts as Customer Representative for the Company related quality issues and S/R management.

. Monitors and reports Management Review minutes.

. Monitors and reports out Fast Response Matrix.

. Support document approval and control to QEMS.

. Support change management activities at plant level.

. Coordinate and report Plant Metrics for Quality and Environment, including 4 Panel, Senior Metrics, Supplier performance and Environmental indicators and Warranty Management.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.
• Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control and others Quality tools.
• Knowledge of Measuring System Analysis.
• Leadership/Management/Motivation skills.
• Problem Solving Capabilities – mechanical and numerical utilizing tools (8D, 5Y, fishbone, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of production processes.
• Knowledge of Automotive OEM’s Quality Concepts and Principles.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in quality, manufacturing and industrial engineering
• Three (3) years in a Management role
