QA Engineer - Shape the Future of Freelancer Finance

Accountable is an innovative fintech/taxtech startup dedicated to empowering self-employed individuals by simplifying their accounting and tax processes through our user-friendly mobile and web app. With a team of 60 talented professionals located in Berlin, Brussels, and various remote locations across and near Europe, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing the way freelancers manage their finances.

Our primary objective is to create a product that is not only incredibly easy to use but also enjoyable, eliminating the need for any prior tax or accounting knowledge. The company is expanding at a rate of over 100% per year, and we have set our sights on becoming the leading fintech for freelancers in the European market. By joining Accountable, you will work with the Product & Engineering to ensure that the app works perfectly.

Responsibilities

• You will be one of two members of the Quality Assurance team, making sure that the Web and Mobile apps run smoothly and without issues.
• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test suites that ensure product stability and reliability.
• Lead automated regression testing on Web (using Playwright, Selenium, or other tools).
• Lead automated regression testing on Mobile (using Maestro, Detox, or other tools).
• Conduct manual testing of new features, improvements, and fixes on web and mobile.
• Help establish quality benchmarks and testing processes as a core member of our QA team.
• Thrive in a fast-growing fintech company with ambitious goals and meaningful impact for self-employed professionals.
• Full remote work possible but in or near Belgium.
• Competitive base salary of €40,000 - 55,000 (employee gross).

Requirements

• Strong English communication skills to collaborate effectively with our international team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in QA.
• Experience with React web apps.
• Experience with mobile apps.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Detox, or comparable tools).
