Dellent is a consulting company in System Information and Telecommunications, with a focus on the business investment banking and financial services area in Portugal. We seek a QA lead for backend testing and automation, evaluating REST APIs and microservices with strong Java foundations.

Proficiency in SQL, Xray/Zephyr, and CI/CD pipelines is required, along with English at B2/C1. The role supports remote onboarding and offers health insurance and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional QA experience with emphasis on backend testing and test automation.
• Strong Java knowledge (17/21) and familiarity with Spring Boot.
• Experience testing REST APIs and microservices.
• Excellent SQL skills (Oracle or PostgreSQL) for data validation.
• Hands-on with Test Management tools (Xray, Zephyr) and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Fluent English (B2/C1) mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and Jira.
• Excellent analytical and data quality focus, with teamwork in multicultural environments.

This project is part of the business investment banking and financial services area, that currently has its technological hub in Portugal and is working on the development of innovative solutions and support for all operations related to the business.

Degree in Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar (equivalent experience will be considered) 6+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on backend testing and test automation Solid experience in automating backend tests using Java-based tools (e.g., REST Assured, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber) to validate REST APIs and microservices Strong understanding of Java (17 / 21) backend architecture, allowing you to read developer code, understand Spring Boot structures, and debug application logs Excellent SQL skills (e.g., Oracle or PostgreSQL) to perform database testing, verify data migrations, and validate heavy data processing/batch executions Hands-on experience with Test Management tools (e.g., Xray, Zephyr) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) to trigger automated test suites Fluent in English - minimum B2/C1 level (mandatory) Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban, Jira) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a rigorous, detail-oriented approach to data quality and system reliability Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-border/multicultural environment Team player, quality-oriented, with a highly proactive initiative
