DBServices is seeking a Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer to strengthen our automated testing capabilities across UI, API, and integration layers. The role emphasizes building scalable test frameworks and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid Portugal work model.

You will collaborate with Development, QA, and DevOps teams, identify risks, and drive QA maturity through robust test strategies, tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in test automation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one modern automation framework (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Robot Framework).
• Experience with API testing using tools such as REST Assured, Postman/Newman, Super Test, or Karate.
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Experience with Git and software engineering best practices.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling is valued.
• Experience with Docker and cloud environments is a plus.

Level: Mid-Level Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and evolve automated test suites covering UI, API, regression, smoke, and integration testing. Requirements 3–5 years of professional experience in test automation. Strong hands-on experience with at least one modern automation framework, such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or Robot Framework. Experience with one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Java Script/Type Script, or Python. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, or similar tools.

Experience with Git and software engineering best practices. Ability to structure automated tests with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and scalability. Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling is valued. Experience with Docker and cloud environments is a plus. Availability to work in a hybrid model in Portugal, with on-site frequency and location to be defined.
