Act Digital seeks a Python Developer / Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable data solutions in a financial services setting. You will build robust data pipelines, ensure data quality, and support analytics and regulatory use cases in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will work with PySpark, Hive, Hadoop, and Dataiku DSS, delivering data-driven solutions and documenting technical specifications.

Qualificações

• Experience building data pipelines with Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of PySpark, Hive and Hadoop.
• Experience with Dataiku DSS or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

We are looking for a Python Developer / Data Engineer to join our IT team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data solutions. The role focuses on building robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting analytics and regulatory use cases in a financial services environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data processing workflows
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, cleaning, and quality controls using Python and SQL
• Work with large-scale data platforms using PySpark, Hive, and Hadoop
• Build and maintain data solutions using Dataiku DSS (Data Science Studio) or similar data platforms
• Ensure data consolidation within a controlled and scalable analytical framework
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models
• Participate in workshops to gather and formalize business needs
• Define functional and technical requirements and contribute to technical documentation (DI/DE)
• Map data structures, define business rules, and ensure correct data usage across consumers and jurisdictions
• Develop, test, and deploy data solutions, including unit testing and validation
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
• Support validation phases with end users and ensure solution accuracy
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture and processes

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming experience in Python
• Solid knowledge of SQL (Oracle or similar)
• Experience with big data technologies: PySpark, Hive, Hadoop
• Experience with Dataiku DSS or similar data platforms
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
• Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, IBM, or similar)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, ALM Octane
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle: ingestion, processing, quality, and delivery
• Exposure to financial data / credit risk / stress testing concepts is a plus

Languages:

• Portuguese — Good / Practice
• French — Basic (optional)
