Aiera.com, a fast-growing US fintech startup, is building its European engineering hub in Loulé, Algarve. They are hiring Backend Developers with 5+ years of web development experience and strong Python expertise to join the team and help scale a SaaS platform.

This hybrid role offers a competitive €45,000–€55,000 gross annual salary, with 2 days per week in the office. You’ll work on scalable cloud-based infrastructure and contribute to an AI-powered platform planned for release in 2026.

And we’re hiring experienced Backend Developers with 5+ years of web development experience and strong expertise in Python and related frameworks to join the team.

This is a hybrid role based around Loulé / Faro, Algarve (2days/week at the office), with competitive compensation depending on your experience.

The Work You’ll Do

• Maintain and refactor the current product platform to improve performance and scalability of Aiera's platform to connect tens of thousands financial reporting events through webcasts.
• Automate manual systems to free up operations and increase reliability.
• Harden and modernize infrastructure, migrating from queue-based to serverless/cloud-based architectures (Terraform, Kafka, Lambda).
• Contribute to the development of the new AI-powered platform to be released in Q2 2026.

Who We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional web development experience with SaaS platforms.
• Strong backend expertise with Python and related frameworks.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, cloud architectures, and modern DevOps practices.
