  • Liaise with suppliers for quality and competitive conditions.
  • Assist with stock distribution between departments.

Mission: As a Purchasing Assistant Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Purchasing Department, ensuring the efficient management of supplies and materials across the hotel. Through this experience, you will develop practical skills in procurement, stock control, supplier relations, and interdepartmental collaboration, contributing directly to the smooth running of the hotel.

What will you have to do?

  • Support the processing and follow-up of requests, ensuring correct distribution of products and supplies to departments.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, and storing goods, guaranteeing compliance with quality, quantity, and safety standards.
  • Help register, update, and monitor orders and inventories in SAP, ensuring accuracy of information and effective stock control.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in periodic inventories, identifying replenishment needs.
  • Collaborate in maintaining and organizing storage areas, respecting HACCP and hygiene standards.
  • Support document management within the department, ensuring traceability of products.
  • Liaise with suppliers, supporting negotiations and ensuring quality and competitive conditions.
  • Assist with stock distribution between departments to ensure timely service.
  • Join departmental meetings (Finance and Purchasing), contributing to process alignment and strategic decisions.

What are we looking for?

  • Eligible for IEFP internship program.
  • Academic background in Management, Hotel Management or similar.
  • Interest in Purchasing and motivation to learn within the hotel industry.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset.
  • Knowledge of MS Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and good knowledge of English.
  • Proactive, responsible, and eager to develop professionally in a dynamic environment.
