Preh Portugal, Lda in Trofa, Portugal, seeks a Project Quality Engineer to support new product launches and serve as the quality interface with customers, ensuring excellence from development to series production.

You will drive APQP activities, FMEA workshops, control plans, PPAP submissions, and coordinate root-cause analyses with cross-functional teams to sustain quality and customer satisfaction on automotive programs.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Management Engineering, or a similar field.
• Experience in the automotive industry, preferably within Quality.
• Knowledge of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA) and quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).

Responsabilidades

• Support APQP activities and lead quality planning for new products.
• Lead FMEA workshops and control plan development.
• Coordinate PPAP submissions with customers and internal teams.
• Drive root-cause analysis and containment actions with cross-functional teams.
• Support customer audits and change management processes.
• Monitor quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About The Role

We are looking for a Project Quality Engineerto join our team at Preh Portugal (Trofa). You will support new product launches and act as the quality interface with customers, ensuring excellence from development to series production.

The Challenges in Front of You

• Support APQP activities, FMEA workshops, Control Plans, and new product quality planning
• Manage customer complaints using 8D and other problem-solving methodologies
• Coordinate root cause analysis, corrective actions, and containment measures with cross-functional teams
• Prepare and submit PPAP documentation according to customer requirements
• Participate in customer audits and support product and process change management
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance and customer satisfaction

What You Bring to the Table

You are more than your technical background, you are analytical, customer-focused, resilient, and passionate about solving problems. To succeed in this role, you bring:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Management Engineering, or a similar field
• Experience in the automotive industry, preferably within Quality
• Knowledge of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA) and quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good command of MS Office; Power BI and SAP QM are a plus
• Fluency in English; German is an advantage
