Job summary

Sibelco in Rio Maior, Portugal, is seeking a Supervisor Production to lead and optimize site production activities, aligning with safety, permits, and budget. You will manage both own and subcontracted teams and develop a yearly work plan with the local authorities.

You will apply Operational Excellence principles, coordinate with the production scheduler, balance customer demands with quality, quantity, and cost, and drive team development and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production activities on site and ensure safety and health as top priority; manage own and subcontractor teams; develop a yearly workplan within permits and budget.
• Oversee Production activities in accordance with Operational Excellence principles.
• Ensure adherence to the production schedule in coordination with the production scheduler and managers as needed.
• Strive for optimal balance between customer demands and specifications on quality, quantity, efficiency and cost.
• Motivate and evaluate team members to enhance collaboration and growth.

Job Description:

Your Impact in this role

Supervise, optimize and continuously improve the production activities in the site together with other disciplines, taking into account the local regulations, rules, the permits, the predetermined cost budget according to the specifications as determined with the Sales department.

• Supervise the production activities in the site and ensure the activities are performed in a safe and healthy way. Ensure the production team, both own employees and subcontractors, perform their activities considering safety and healthy as the highest priority. Motivate people to report unsafe/unhealthy behaviour/issues. Ensure exploitation according to the rules as set in the permits and develop a yearly workplan to be approved by the local authorities. Control the activities are performed within the predefined budget and alert the sales team on time when problems arise.
• Supervise the Production activities in the Site according to the Operational Excellence principles.
• Ensure activities are performed according to the production schedule. Work with the production scheduler. Align with production scheduler and if needed with production manager/operations manager when problems arise and/or the production schedule cannot be met.
• Strive to the optimal balance between customer demands and specifications in relation to quality, quantity, efficiency and cost.
• Motivate and evaluate the team members to enhance team collaboration and support their individual development and growth.
