BorgWarner, a global leader in sustainable mobility, is seeking a Finance Specialist at the Viana do Castelo plant in Portugal. This role focuses on cost tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure short-, medium-, and long-term business viability.

You will collaborate with production, purchasing, logistics and commercial teams to optimize costs and provide timely insights. Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential; SAP and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Management, or related fields.
• MBA (valued).
• Minimum of 3 years of related business experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Experience in SAP.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
• Intermediate to advanced-level software skills in Microsoft Office applications.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate, update, and manage cost systems.
• Analyze financial data per production line with Product Line Managers to support financial performance.
• Ensure financial reporting platforms provide timely and meaningful data for decision-making.
• Prepare business cases for future projects.
• Coordinate with the commercial team to support growth and long-term sustainability.
• Timely reporting on business trends: income statements, balance sheets, cash flow and other reports.
• Act as liaison between financial, purchasing, logistics, commercial and manufacturing teams.
• Support internal controls system (SOX) and cost/inventory controls.
• Build reports to support investment decisions and collaboration with other departments.
