TE Connectivity in Évora, Portugal, is seeking a Product Engineer for high-voltage contactors to advance innovative automotive electrification products. You will join a growing E-Mobility team and contribute to design, development and sustaining engineering within a global context.

The role requires hands-on product design, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to travel. A technical background in mechanical/electrical engineering and 3D CAD is essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Materials Engineering, Physics or similar.
• At least 1 year in Automotive Industry.
• At least 1 year in E‑Mobility.
• Mechanical design using advanced 3D CAD software.
• Geometrical tolerancing and tolerance calculations.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving; risk assessment.
• Ability to collaborate in international, cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and technical English.
• Willingness to travel.
• Prior automotive experience is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Execute product design per customer and internal requirements through to industrialization.
• Lead the product engineering part during development projects and sustaining engineering per Automotive requirements.
• Ensure environmental restrictions are considered in new designs and changes.
• Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing Eng, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Product Management and others.
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings with ISO GPS tolerancing.
• Create customer and restricted drawings.
• Conduct design reviews and DFMEA with project teams.
• Define testing plan for qualification per specs.
• Support product improvements and quality/manufacturability fixes.
• Assist root-cause analysis of process and quality problems.
• Provide timely support to internal and external customers.
