Qualifications

• Bacharelado em Fashion Design, Textile Engineering ou disciplina relacionada.
• Proven track record em Product Development em ambientes de manufactura de luxo internacional com marcas italianas/francesas.
• Fluência em inglês e português; italiano é vantagem.

Responsabilités

• Atuar como elo principal com os departamentos de Style e Merchandising dos clientes, assegurando a tradução precisa de briefs, tech packs e diretrizes artísticas.
• Supervisionar o sourcing de tecidos, matérias-primas e acabamentos para amostras e primeiras produções.
• Liderar a equipe de Desenvolvimento de Produto, alocando tarefas conforme complexidade e prazos sazonais.
• Colaborar com Pattern Making e Sample Room para resolver desafios de estrutura, caimento e manufactura cedo no processo.
• Monitorizar prazos de desenvolvimento de protótipos e amostras, assegurando qualidade e calendários de entrega.
• Analisar tendências de mercado internacionais para propor soluções têxteis, de construção e acabamento para clientes de luxo.

Our client is a Portuguese manufacturing unit operating within an elite, integrated European platform that stands as an international benchmark for craftsmanship and best practices in the luxury goods industry. Specializing in high-end apparel development and production, with particular expertise in circular knitwear and jersey fabrics, the organization partners with world-renowned Italian and French luxury fashion houses to bring creative visions into industrial reality. The Product Development Manager will lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for prestigious client brands. The role oversees the progression of technical design, pattern making, prototyping, and sampling, while actively engaging with prospective clients and onboarding new luxury accounts. Additionally, the role serves as a key liaison to international sister companies in Italy to foster technical exchange, operational synergies, and shared best practices.

• Act as the primary liaison for clients’ Style and Merchandising departments, ensuring the precise translation and execution of collection briefs, tech packs, and artistic guidelines;
• Supervise the sourcing and procurement of fabrics, raw materials, and trims required for sampling and initial production runs;
• Lead and organize the Product Development team, optimizing task allocation according to project complexity, individual competencies, and tight seasonal deadlines;
• Partner closely with Pattern Making and Sample Room teams to solve structural, fit, and manufacturing challenges early in the development phase;
• Rigorously monitor prototype and sample development timelines, ensuring meticulous execution, quality standards, and adherence to delivery calendars;
• Analyze international market developments and competitive trends to proactively propose innovative textile, construction, and finishing solutions to luxury clients.

competências

• Aacademic degree, preferably in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline;
• Proven track record in Product Development within international luxury apparel manufacturing environments (working directly with Italian or French fashion houses);
• Strong technical background in luxury jersey fabrics and circular knits is highly preferred;
• Professional fluency in English and Portuguese is mandatory; working proficiency in Italian represents a distinct advantage;
• Exceptional organizational, project management, and prioritization skills under tight seasonal schedules;
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural team collaboration abilities;
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (notably Excel);
• Acute attention to detail and high craftsmanship standards;
• Flexibility and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
