Chain IQ, a global AI-driven procurement service partner, is seeking a Spend Analytics Expert in Lisbon to turn complex procurement data into strategic insights. You will consolidate data from client systems, lead data cleansing and classification, and design spend cube integrations with clients to drive cost optimization.

You will apply AI-enabled analytics to improve category visibility, harmonize supplier information, and deliver actionable recommendations for sourcing and supplier management

Qualificações

• 7+ years of professional experience in data analytics, management consulting, or operations strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik etc.
• Experience working with large datasets; proficiency in data cleansing, classification, and transformation.
• Familiarity with procurement concepts is advantageous but not required.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to work across multiple industries and procurement categories.
• Experience with spend analytics, spend classification, supplier harmonization, and procurement data management.

Role Purpose

Are you passionate about turning complex data into strategic business value? As a Spend Analytics Expert, you will help leading organizations gain visibility, control, and actionable insights from their procurement spend. You will transform fragmented procurement data into a trusted foundation for decision‑making, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and enable more effective sourcing and supplier management strategies. Additionally, you will play a key role in helping clients unlock measurable value from their procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Delivery

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them gain visibility and control over their procurement spend.
• Consolidate spend data from multiple client systems into a single, trusted view of procurement activity.
• Lead spend data collection, cleansing, enrichment, and classification activities across diverse data sources.
• Partner with clients as a trusted advisor to design, implement spend cube integrations, ensuring high-quality spend data
• Deliver actionable analyses that identify savings opportunities, supplier consolidation potential, and compliance improvements.

Spend Classification & Supplier Harmonization

• Apply AI-enabled tools and analytics to accelerate spend classification and improve category visibility.
• Harmonize supplier information across different systems to create a consistent and reliable supplier baseline.
• Improve the quality, consistency, and completeness of procurement data to support better business decisions.
• Continuously enhance classification accuracy and insight generation through data-driven approaches and best practices.

Strategic Insights & Solution Design

• Transform complex procurement data into clear business insights and sourcing recommendations.
• Support category strategies, opportunity assessments, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Identify spend patterns, supplier concentration risks, and value creation opportunities across client organizations.
• Help clients establish a trusted procurement data foundation that enables fact-based decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
