Job summary

Chain IQ is a global AI-driven procurement service partner seeking a Sourcing Professional Services - Consultant in Lisbon. You will manage end-to-end tactical sourcing activities, develop strategies, analyse proposals, and support negotiations to improve pricing and terms.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in sourcing/procurement, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a global environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, supply chain, or a related commercial environment.
  • Experience managing end-to-end sourcing activities, including requirements gathering, RFx processes, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contracting support.
  • Understanding of sourcing methodologies, supplier selection, commercial analysis, and savings delivery.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken; German or another European language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end tactical sourcing activities, including requirements gathering, market research, supplier identification, RFx events, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contracting support.
  • Prepare sourcing strategies and project plans aligned with client requirements, timelines, and governance standards.
  • Analyse supplier proposals, commercial models, and pricing structures to develop comparative assessments and recommendations.
  • Support commercial and contractual negotiations to improve pricing, service levels, commercial terms, and risk outcomes.
  • Execute sourcing activities in accordance with client policies, sourcing processes, compliance requirements, and Chain IQ standards.
  • Conduct spend, market, and supplier analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and support value delivery initiatives.
  • Build effective working relationships with client stakeholders, suppliers, and internal colleagues across functions and locations.
  • Monitor sourcing project progress, identify risks, and proactively escalating issues affecting delivery timelines or outcomes.
  • Track sourcing performance metrics, savings delivery, and project status in accordance with agreed reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of sourcing best practices across the organization.

  • Experience conducting spend analysis, market research, and supplier assessments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Source-to-Contract (S2C) or procurement systems.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver against agreed timelines and service levels.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken. German or another European language is an advantage.
