Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage end-to-end purchasing and subcontracting activities. You will analyze material needs in Oracle/MRP, solicit and evaluate RFQs/RFPs/RFIs, and perform cost analyses to support sourcing decisions.

You will negotiate with suppliers to meet program cost and schedule targets and ensure on-time delivery while controlling costs. This role serves as the main link between suppliers and GDLS teams, coordinating source selection,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related business discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in procurement or buying role.
• Proficiency with Oracle MRP or similar MRP-based systems.
• Experience in cost and price analysis, including formal write-ups.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and program management abilities.
• Proven business acumen and sound judgment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet objectives.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of purchasing and subcontracting activities.
• Analyze material needs in Oracle/MRP and support sourcing decisions.
