Job summary

Zf Lifetec in Ponte de Lima is seeking a Process Manufacturing Engineer / Expert to lead automation improvements for existing and new production lines at the Ponte de Lima Plant (Fornelos). The role includes performing capability studies, supporting audits, and ensuring manufacturability across all processes.

Qualifications

• BSc or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation).
• Technical background in Airbag Module Assembly.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge in problem solving tools (5W; Ishikawa; PDCA; 8D) preferred.
• Knowledge in quality tools.
• Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the Organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop new automation applications for both new and/or existing production lines.

• Participate in project meetings to acknowledge requirements and provide feedback to the launch manager on status and timing.
• Manage serial production modules.

Process Manufacturing Engineer / Expert

• Develop new automation applications for both new and/or existing production lines
• Provide technical feedback during customer audits , present and explain, if necessary, process and documentation
• Perform capability and MSA studies for all product and processes
• Work together with application engineer to ensure product manufacturability
• Develop specifications for new production lines, machines and tools
• Responsible to ensure technical conditions for PV builds (machines and tools in serial conditions)
• Responsible to define process parameters for every process step
• Participate to project meeting to acknowledge project requirements andprovide feedback to launch manager about tasks status and timing
• Manage serial production modules

Your profile
