Aubay Portugal is seeking a privacy specialist to provide day-to-day GDPR guidance and support to the Group DPO. You will track developments, translate them into practical guidance, and draft/Data Processing Agreements while advising on cross-border transfers.

Fluent English is required, with additional European languages as a strong advantage. The role includes privacy training, policy updates, and embedding privacy by design across products and services.

What will you do?

• Provide day-to-day privacy legal advice and support the Group DPO on the interpretation and application of GDPR and national data protection laws.
• Track developments in EU and national privacy law, assessing their impact and translating them into practical guidance and updated policies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements and advise on cross-border data transfers, implementing Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Manage and coordinate responses to data subject requests (DSARs) and handle the end-to-end personal data breach process.
• Embed privacy requirements into new products, services, systems, and business initiatives (Privacy by Design).
• Design and deliver privacy training and awareness sessions to foster a strong data protection culture across the Group.

What are we looking for?

• Possess a Law degree with qualification/admission in an EU jurisdiction, alongside 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in data protection or privacy.
• Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the GDPR and national privacy laws in at least one Euronext jurisdiction.
• Exhibit the ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical, and business-oriented advice.
• Possess strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly for Data Processing Agreements and data transfer arrangements.
• Be fluent in English (C1 level), with an additional European language (French, Dutch, Italian, or Portuguese) considered a strong advantage.
• Display sound judgment, discretion, high professional integrity, and a collaborative, proactive team spirit.
• Residency in Portugal (if you’re not based in Portugal, we can’t consider your interest).
