Intermedia is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to act as technical lead for infrastructure, automation, and deployments. You will own end-to-end reliability from IaC to release engineering, with a focus on Windows clustering and Linux automation.

Primarily remote with occasional Coimbra visits; offices planned in Aveiro and Porto. The role requires leadership, architectural decision-making, and mentoring across teams in a fast-paced cloud communications environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years in DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure Engineering, including leadership.
• Expert-level Windows Server HA and clustering experience.
• Strong Linux administration and automation experience.
• Advanced skills with Terraform and Ansible.
• Deployment/release engineering with Octopus Deploy and GitHub.
• Monitoring/observability with VictoriaMetrics and/or Prometheus.
• Production experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, Nginx.
• Networking and security fundamentals; least privilege.
• Ability to lead cross-team initiatives and communicate clearly.
• Kubernetes and container ecosystems (Docker, Helm).

Responsabilidades

• Act as technical lead for DevOps/Platform/Release Eng; set direction and standards.
• Architect end-to-end delivery: infra provisioning, CM, CI/CD, releases.
• Design Windows HA solutions with deep Windows clustering ownership.
• Lead Linux automation and platform standardization.
• Own Terraform IaC strategy across environments.
• Own Ansible automation with reusable roles and secure secrets.
• Build deployments using Octopus Deploy, GitHub, and Ansible templates.
• Design mature CI/CD pipelines with artifact versioning and approvals.
• Establish observability standards with VictoriaMetrics/Prometheus.
• Provide production leadership: incidents, RCA, capacity planning.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality.
• Produce architecture docs, runbooks, platform roadmaps.
