Job summary

Makro Portugal is seeking a Pricing Analyst to manage and execute the company’s defined pricing processes, analysing the impact of pricing scenarios on sales and margin in close alignment with the Offer department.

You will incorporate insights into the pricing management system, analyze scenarios, generate reports, and drive change management initiatives with the Store and Offer teams. The role is a fixed-term maternity leave cover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Access and Excel (VBA). Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or other BI tools will be considered an advantage.
• Fluent in English (minimum B1 level).
• Availability for a fixed-term contract of uncertain duration (maternity leave cover).

Responsibilities

• Incorporate pricing insights into the pricing management system to support category and sales channel strategy.
• Analyse pricing scenarios, generate/update reports, and present key findings and recommendations.
• Drive change management initiatives, including new pricing and promotion management processes and systems.
• Share knowledge with Offer and Store teams regarding price perception management.
• Produce ad hoc analyses that add value to the pricing strategy.
