Job summary

Woopel is seeking a Preservation Architect for a contract role in Faro, Portugal. The successful candidate will assess historic structures, develop preservation plans, and coordinate with agencies to ensure compliance with standards.

You will produce drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, oversee project implementation, and conduct site visits while maintaining meticulous documentation. A Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in restoration are required.

Qualifications

This is a contract position with a salary of 1400$, and accommodation will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine their condition and preservation needs
• Develop preservation plans and strategies based on research and analysis
• Work closely with government agencies, historians, and other professionals to ensure preservation efforts meet all requirements and standards
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects
• Oversee the implementation of preservation projects and ensure they are carried out according to plan
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
• Provide guidance and support to construction teams working on preservation projects
• Maintain accurate documentation of all preservation activities for future reference

Requirements
