Event Staffing seeks a Preservation Architect in Lisbon to preserve, restore and conserve historic buildings while integrating modern building codes.

You will work with clients, contractors and stakeholders to maintain historical integrity and deliver compliant projects on time and within budget. A minimum of five years in preservation architecture and proficiency in AutoCAD are required; visa sponsorship is provided for non-EU nationals.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Lisbon.

In this role you will be responsible for preserving, restoring and conserving historic buildings and structures. As a Preservation Architect you will work closely with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure that the historical integrity of the structures is maintained while also meeting modern building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of historic buildings and structures
• Develop preservation plans and strategies for restoration projects
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and other professionals to ensure project success
• Conduct research on historical materials, construction techniques and building regulations
• Prepare drawings, specifications and cost estimates for preservation projects
• Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with preservation guidelines
• Identify potential risks or issues during preservation projects and develop solutions
• Stay current on industry developments and incorporate new techniques into preservation projects

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in preservation architecture
• Strong knowledge of historical materials, construction techniques, building codes and regulations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough research
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other architectural software programs
• Experience working on restoration projects preferred

This is a contract position with the potential for extension.

We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month along with visa sponsorship for non-EU nationals.
