Alignerr is seeking a Portuguese Language Expert (AI Training) for an hourly remote contract. You will review translations and original content to improve AI understanding and generation in Portuguese, contributing to culturally accurate and natural expressions.

The role offers flexible, asynchronous work with 10–40 hours per week, and potential for ongoing projects in a cutting-edge AI research context.

Qualificações

• Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese.
• Strong written communication in Portuguese and English.
• Experience evaluating language quality is a plus.

About The Role

We're looking for Portuguese language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Portuguese-language content. Your linguistic insight will directly shape how AI understands, generates, and communicates in Portuguese - making a real impact on one of the world's most widely spoken languages.

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated Portuguese translations and original content for accuracy and naturalness
• Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, register mismatches, or cultural issues
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate Portuguese
• Provide structured feedback on linguistic and cultural quality
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese
• Strong written communication skills in both Portuguese and English
• Comfortable evaluating written language quality at scale
• Attention to detail and consistency
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience in translation, localization, or editing
• Familiarity with AI or language evaluation workflows
• Knowledge of regional Portuguese variations (Brazilian, European, etc.)
