We are looking for a Spare Parts, Tools & BOM Lead in Functional Excellence within Vestas Service Industrialisation (VSI).

Our team is part of VTO's Frontend Engineering & Technology (FE&T) organization, which includes Regional Engineering & Technology (RE&T) functions led by Regional CTOs and Global Functional Leads.

FE&T represents Vestas Technology in the regions, collaborating with regional Vestas teams, Sales & Customer Project Execution teams, Service and Development colleagues, and external technical stakeholders such as customers, engineers, transmission system operators, regulators, and other authorities. FE&T ensures functional excellence, operates as a global center of excellence, and maintains a standardized way of working globally.

The Functional Excellence team is responsible for providing tools to support the VSI Execution team, ensuring PLM data visibility, and developing internal supporting tools to optimize operations. This department implements system improvements, offers subject matter proficiency, and contributes to cross-departmental strategic projects. Through these efforts, the department plays a crucial role in enabling and supporting interdepartmental teams within VSI, enhancing overall operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized skills in spare parts, tools, and BOM
  • Represent FE&T and Service needs, coordinate tasks and collaborate closely with the business owner of SBOMs
  • Facilitate strategic initiatives, support execution teams, participate in cross-collaborative projects, and propose operational improvements
  • Lead Ideas through Project appraisals to dynamic project pipelines
  • Ensure transparency, data integrity and accountability in excellence tasks
  • Analyse, enable problem-solving and present solutions
  • Stakeholder management and engagement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
  • Solid experience in a global production company, working with PDM, Engineering Change Management or process optimization
  • Experience with BOM creation and review
  • Deep understanding of spare parts and tools as products
  • Proficiency in spare parts, tools, and BOM management
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective stakeholder management and engagement
  • Ability to support strategic initiatives and execution teams
  • Commitment to ensuring transparency, data integrity and accountability
  • Experience in cross-collaborative projects and operational improvements
  • Process-oriented mindset and ability to bring structure to a complex global organization
  • Proficient communication skills in verbal and written English

Additional information

This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal and requires up to 5 travel days per year.
