Job summary

Blip seeks an experienced DevOps Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for platform capabilities, infrastructure automation, and developer tooling. You will mentor engineers, drive hiring, and align work with business goals in a fast‑paced environment.

You will collaborate with security, product, and other engineering teams to enhance developer experience, operational maturity, and platform reliability, while promoting ownership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in platform, infrastructure or DevOps
• Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and leadership
• Proven track record delivering scalable internal platforms
• Experience with modern infra tools (Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, IaC)

Responsibilities

• Lead a team focused on platform capabilities, infrastructure automation, and developer tooling.
• Mentor engineers through regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.
• Support the hiring and onboarding of new team members, ensuring smooth integration into the team and alignment with company culture.
• Facilitate sprint planning, set clear priorities, and ensure alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive the successful delivery of projects and initiatives aligned with the platform engineering strategy.
• Partner with other teams to manage technical dependencies, address blockers, and drive initiatives to completion.
• Help define and track operational metrics (e.g., SLOs) to measure platform performance and reliability.
• Promote engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, observability, and security-by-design.
• Advocate for continuous improvement in both engineering process and team culture.
