Job summary

Nextlane is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for Platform to lead a team of 8-10 engineers across France, Portugal and Spain. You will own APIs, the API gateway, and integration services that connect Nextlane products with dealers, OEMs, and CRM/DMS systems.

Reporting to the VP Engineering - Platform, you will drive capacity planning, deliverypredictability and platform reliability. This role requires deep expertise in distributed systems, API design, cloud operations, and

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in people management.
• Built or operated APIs, integration platforms or shared services used by other teams or partners.
• Led modernisation initiatives while preserving delivery velocity.
• Handled customer-impacting incidents and debugging under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team of 8-10 across Europe (France, Portugal, Spain).
• Own API reliability, API gateway and integration services for products, dealers, OEMs, and CRM/DMS connections.
• Balance product roadmap with engineering capacity and delivery planning; manage cross-team dependencies.
• Review designs, guide engineers, and participate in production diagnostics when needed.
• Drive SDLC discipline, testing strategy and incident response.
• Foster a culture of learning, safety, and continuous improvement.
