Job summary

Hiscox Re in Lisbon is seeking a Platform Engineer to support reliability, security, and automation of our software delivery pipelines and hybrid cloud infrastructure. The role blends DevOps (Automation & CI/CD) and Site Reliability Engineering, working with software and data engineers to ensure secure by design, available, and efficiently deployed through IaC across Azure, GCP, and on‑prem environments.

You will help teams self‑serve by creating reusable templates and sharing knowledge to lift

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, and SRE.
• Strong IaC and cloud automation across Azure/GCP.
• Experience securing pipelines and using SAST/DAST.
• Familiarity with monitoring and cost visibility.

Responsibilities

• Automation, CI/CD, and DevOps maturity.
• Pipeline support for Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• IaC automation with Terraform and Ansible.
• Promote DevOps culture within squads.
• SRE & operational excellence responsibilities.
