Job summary

RED Global are supporting a major European organisation undergoing large-scale cloud platform growth and are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team on a fully remote basis. This is a hands-on role focused on building and improving internal platforms, cloud infrastructure, automation tooling and developer enablement capabilities.

You'll be working within a modern AWS environment, helping engineering teams deploy and operate services at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with AWS and cloud platforms.
• Proven experience building and operating Amazon EKS environments.
• Advanced Terraform expertise with reusable modules and production-grade infrastructure.
• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python or Go.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

This is a hands-on role focused on building and improving internal platforms, cloud infrastructure, automation tooling and developer enablement capabilities. You'll be working within a modern AWS environment, helping engineering teams deploy and operate services at scale.

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months + potential extension
• Location: Europe (Fully remote)

Key Skills Required:

• Strong commercial experience with AWS
• Proven experience building and operating Amazon EKS environments
• Advanced Terraform expertise, including reusable modules and production-grade infrastructure
• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go or similar
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Knowledge of serverless and event-driven AWS services such as:

• Lambda
• SQS
• SNS
• EventBridge
• API Gateway
• DynamoDB
• AWS networking, security and IAM experience
• Ability to troubleshoot across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking and deployment pipelines
• AWS Organizations and multi-account environments
• Security, governance and compliance exposure
• Hybrid cloud or on-premise infrastructure experience
• Media, broadcasting or digital content industry experience
