Visa Hunt seeks a Platform Engineer to join the Platform Infrastructure team in Lisbon. You will design, operate, and optimize scalable cloud-native systems, with a focus on security, reliability, and automation across AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

You will work across development and security teams, implement SRE best practices, and build tooling on macOS and Linux to boost developer productivity while ensuring high availability and resilience of critical services.

Qualificações

• 8+ years in DevOps or SRE roles with strong hands-on AWS experience.
• 8+ years in CI/CD pipeline development (GitLab, GitHub or similar).
• 5+ years applying security best practices in AWS, including remediating SecurityHub findings.
• 5+ years using DevSecOps tools (SAST/DAST/SCA).
• Experience with microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) in production.
• Strong Linux OS-level knowledge and scripting.
• Knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, DynamoDB.
• Coding in Python, Ruby, or Java for maintainable code.

Responsabilidades

The Platform Infrastructure team at our client plays a critical role in keeping the production and development environments running smoothly and securely. This role will utilize advanced cloud capabilities to facilitate the Platform Infrastructure strategy of market agility and lean operating principles with a strict focus on quality to meet the ever-growing demands of their clients.

As a Platform Engineer, you will be wearing multiple hats in a highly visible role, interacting with all aspects of the business. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting distributed systems with strong hands-on debugging skills
• Managing the relationship between the Platform Infrastructure team and the Information Security Team to address and resolve security issues related to the platform, CI/CD pipelines, and development tools
• Contributing to security best practices by promoting a shift-left approach and fostering a strong security culture within the DevOps/Platform Infrastructure team
• Developing and maintaining tools to support the development environment on macOS and Linux, with a focus on enhancing developer productivity
• Maintaining site reliability with a focus on building highly scalable systems integrating resiliency and high availability at all levels
• Developing software and tooling to secure and automate cloud infrastructure, building software delivery capabilities with fully automatic workflows
• Designing and operating a Kubernetes environment for container management and orchestration
• Working with distributed systems design, maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting/debugging

• 8+ years of DevOps or SRE experience with at least 4 years of AWS experience
• 8+ years of CI/CD pipeline development in GitLab, GitHub, or similar framework
• 5+ years of experience with security best practices in AWS, including remediating SecurityHub findings
• 5+ years of experience with DevSecOps tools, including SAST tools, DAST tools, and SCA tools
• Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) experience in a production environment strongly desired
• Strong Linux OS-level and command-line/scripting knowledge and configuration management principles
• Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, and DynamoDB
• Coding beyond simple scripting with strong opinions on maintainable/reusable code in Python, Ruby, or Java desired
• Experience with compute provisioning on a cloud-based platform using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
• Experience building a microservice-based architecture
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to design and implement complex but easily managed automated infrastructure
• Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge, teaching, and learning collaboratively within a team environment
• Experience in system tuning and performance testing
