Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer for the Platform in Lisbon, Portugal. The Platform team builds the backend driving payments, subscriptions, auth, consumption tracking, and the public TTS API across web, iOS, Android, Chrome, and Mac apps.

You will own critical services, improve latency, and help scale a distributed, zero-office product. The role emphasizes designing robust backend systems, collaborating with product and frontend teams, and delivering reliable, scalable software for

Qualificações

• Proven backend experience with TypeScript/Node.js is required.
• Direct experience with GCP; working knowledge of AWS or Azure.
• Ability to mentor teammates and share ownership of work.
• Experience with AI agents and automation in daily workflows.
• Strong emphasis on logging, monitoring, and debugging in production systems.
• Familiarity with containerized deployments and scalable architectures.
