Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Platform in Coimbra, Portugal to own the backend behind payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics. You will design and scale APIs across multiple clients (iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, Web) and ensure reliable operation at high volume.

You’ll work with product and web teams to keep the architecture ahead of product direction, while embracing containerized deployments and cloud best practices.

Qualificações

• Proven backend experience in TS/Node.
• Direct experience with GCP; working knowledge of AWS/Azure.
• Ability to hand off work and show tangible results.
• Experience describing AI-assisted daily automations.
• Strong habit of verifying results via logs and database state.
• Judgment on what not to build and clear rationale.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and own APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics.
• Improve third-party services for speed, cost, and reliability.
• Ensure correctness before shipping and maintain post-release checks.
• Automate repetitive parts of the role to scale the team.
• Reuse previous work to enable team-wide repeatability.
• Design B2B and enterprise integrations on top of Speechify.
• Collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams to keep backend ahead.
