Planet Payment is seeking a People Partner to act as a strategic internal partner to managers and employees in the Porto region, bringing local HR expertise to advise, coach and support them.

You will build trusted relationships, support the entire employee life cycle, implement HR initiatives, and ensure local policies are clearly communicated and applied.

Planet embraces a hybrid work model with three days in the office and offers opportunities to shape people practices across the region.

As People Partner, you act as a strategic internal partner to our managers and employees in your region. You bring local expertise to advise, coach and support them, in line with our ambition to become a true leader in software and payments solutions.

What you will do:

• Build trusted relationships with managers and employees and act as a sparring partner on all operational and strategic HR matters.
• Support employees throughout the entire employee life cycle.
• Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
• Implement global and central HR measures, policies and processes locally, in line with local legal, contractual and personnel requirements.
• Make sure HR processes and methodologies are clearly communicated, understood and applied.
• Handle disciplinary and employee relations matters, such as warnings and redundancies.
• Work closely with other local HR teams, Global HR and central HR Services.

Who you are:

• 5 years of proven experience as an HR administrator or generalist, or in a similar HR role.
• Solid knowledge of local labour law and employment practices.
• Experience with HRIS / ATS. Previous experience with Workday is a plus.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Proactive and creative, keen to propose solutions.
• Team player.
