About the role

As a People & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for our EMEA & Americas regions, as well as for global people experience projects, people operations and employee experience across the region or EMEA.

You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, driving operational excellence while fostering an engaging and positive employee experience throughout the region of EMEA & Americas, while designing and updating employee lifecycle and experience processes that are efficient, compliant, aligned with organisational goals and create a positive experience for all our team members.

You will report to the Chief People & Operations Officer and be part of a global People & Culture team, composed of a Senior Talent & Development Officer, a Global People Operations Manager / APAC People Partner, and a part-time People Operations Officer, China.

You will be responsible for:

People Partnering – EMEA:
  • Be the first point of contact for all EMEA and Americas staff on operational queries, such as contract, leave and payroll, as well as personal matters
  • Lead the full employee lifecycle for all EMEA and Americas staff, from onboarding, through to performance reviews, compensation cycles promotion & development, growth and offboarding
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and teams on all on workforce planning, talent management, and organisational design.
  • Stay up to date on local and regional legislation and best practices with regard to labour law, benefits, employee relations and company culture.
  • Be the voice for EMEA and Americas staff within the People & Culture team, and translate centralized decisions and processes to culturally appropriate formats

Employee Lifecycle & People Experience:

  • Design, update, and implement processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, mid-year and year-end reviews, offboarding, and related touchpoints.
  • Drive engagement through surveys, feedback mechanisms, and follow-up actions. Coordinate global and regional employee events (both online and offline) to strengthen culture and connection.

Policies & Compliance: Design, update and ensure HR policies are implemented consistently in line with local labor laws and global frameworks.

Operational Excellence & HR Systems: Support HRIS maintenance and accurate data tracking for reporting and decision-making. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and data accuracy in HR workflows.

Projects & Initiatives: Lead regional people-related projects, ensuring alignment with global initiatives while adapting to local needs. Promote best practices in employee experience and people management across EMEA and Americas

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to adapt to different mediums and audiences
  • Strong relationship-building skills with employees, leaders and institutional stakeholders at all levels and across geographies and cultures
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong sense for developing systems and processes
  • An organised and proactive work ethic, with the ability to prioritise effectively, shift priorities as needed, and juggle multiple projects and demands at once
  • A service-oriented mindset, with the ability to balance operational excellence with stakeholder experience and management
  • An understanding of the value of people & culture in the success of an organisation and passion for the travel and education industries

To succeed in this role, you will likely have:

  • Proven experience in a people partner or people & culture role in a regional or international setting
  • Experience managing employee lifecycle processes and people-related programs, such as performance management, employee engagement, and people processes
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and compliance requirements in, with strong preference for someone who is knowledgeable of the UK system
  • Experience working for an international organisation, ideally an SME or startup
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal
